The girl " damini " died. But did she really died? I think no..She is still living..because she needed to live..not only for herself..her family..but for betterment of girls in our
country..she is an inspiration for each and every person.she was victim of such an inhuman act still her will to live is commendable.According to my thinking, she isn't a mortal thing that will come to an end rather she is a phenomenon that stirred the whole nation.she put forward the issue of "female security" in our country.she ignited a pile of questions that are to be answered.but the biggest question is "who is to be blamed? the rapists".
The answer is yes,the rapists.
"what is the solution?"
this question has numerous views and opinions. But ,hanging the victims isn't the solution to this problem.they are just a part of our plagued society,an example of sick mentality.physically punishing someone can barely change their mentality.I will also not solely blame the law and order of our country because it is not a new thing to do And there are fewer chances of it to change(crime in our national capital clearly indicates the poor state of law and order).
The only thing that can be changed is our thinking and approach.I believe that given the same opportunity for a crime ,most of us will commit the same thing although not to the same severity.human being is just an animal who tries to cover his demerits and behavior under the hood of civilization.
Rape is not the only crime that needs to addressed.there are numerous cases of sexual exploit and violence which are not even being registered.i am talking about cases where a girl is molested by a relative (and sometimes her own Father/Brother) at her own home. But the injustice doesn't stop here she is then asked to keep quiet. Why? for illogical reasons like prestige of family in society, fear of losing relations with that relative or person.but is the relation worth saving? is the prestige of family saved at the stake of a girl's dignity being denied. To make things worse, the girls character is questioned.I have myself listened to comments like "why did it happened only to you? ". she is also sometimes ordered to quit studies, her going out of home is suspected (or is stopped at most times).
why? what is her fault if someone decided to go against Morales and did this inhuman act? does her staying at home guarantees security of her?
In such a circumstance, where the family needs to support her emotionally and should take a stand against the culprit.but what happens is exactly the opposite.the family itself make her feel the worst.
why? what is her mistake? her mistake is being a girl..

the situation has become so worse that some question arise in mind.when we come across a cute baby girl or baby boy,we will feel like loving them, pampering them but looking at the current situation, won't our intentions be suspected?? people will assume our love to be something else?? should this hesitant feeling be there in us??
while traveling in a crowded public transport, there is a child (say a girl) and she is not getting a seat to sit.will you be able to ask her parents that you can give her a little space??
think! think now! and act! otherwise it will be too late to think!
